Background

We learned a lot during the COVID-19 pandemic, and one of the most significant things is the importance of clean air. Trane Residential has provided homeowners with premium, reliable HVAC systems for decades, so it was already well-equipped to help consumers outfit their homes with cutting-edge tech that keeps indoor air cleaner and fresher. We were tasked with creating a series of videos to spread the news that Trane’s CleanEffects whole-house air filtration system is more than a standard HEPA filter air purifier — it’s the first whole-home air cleaner to be certified allergy-friendly by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.

Our work

HVAC and air filtration content can be confusing, so we employed a kind-but-no-nonsense mom — and her two adorable kids — to connect with our target audience. The CleanEffects system uses patented iFD technology to charge, trap, and remove dust, allergens, and viruses from your home’s air, so we incorporated 3D animation to help visualize the offending particles and an internal view of the equipment to show how the corona field electrifies and traps them. The result was a series of comforting-yet-informative B2C videos that upheld Trane’s tech-forward messaging in a consumer-friendly way.
